Game Drives: Most of the Big Game Safaris in Tanzania is done these way as it give you good idea of how the different areas relate to each other – the rift valley, the highlands, the plain and many more. We either use Landcruiser, Landrovers and minibuses for our safaris and you have your private vehicle and guide, which means that you really can conduct the safari at your own pace. You also have plenty of space for camera equipment; binoculars etc and the vehicles provide a superb vantage point for watching most game, photography opportunities are excellent and the whole safari can be conducted in comfort. Generally these safaris are combined with others activities depend on the destination and places.

Walking Safaris : These exciting walking safaris cover a variety of terrain including the river & lakes, riverine forest, miombo woodland, seasonal sand rivers, hot springs and open plains. Walking safaris is conducted in Several areas in Tanzania including Ngorongoro, Selous, Zanzibar, Gombe, Ruaha, Mahale, Udzungwa, Usambara and Pare Mountains all offer great opportunities to experience the environment on foot. Safari lodges and tented camps will usually organize ‘introductory’ walking safaris which usually last 2-3 hours and are best taken early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat of the day. top

Cultural Tours: In Tanzania, besides it’s spectacular wildlife and beautiful landscapes, another attraction stands equally tall: the people and their culture. Tanzania's people are among the most welcoming and approachable on Africa, with a range of fascinating cultures ready to be shared with visitors. One gets to learn about traditional life styles, sample their food and listen to local traditional stories. Tanzania is home to 120 different tribes, each with their own language! The Sukuma, Haya, Chagga, Nyamwezi, Hehe, Gogo and Makonde are the most significant in terms of population, although the Masai are the most famous, springing to mind for most visitors to Tanzania.

Mountain Climbing : The major draw is the 5,895 metre Mount Kilimanjaro. However, Mount Meru, another volcanic peak is also a popular climb, because of the beautiful and varied flora and fauna which can be observed on the way to the top. To the south try Mount Livingstone or Usambara and Uluguru mountains in the east. top

Mountain Biking: Something that has become more widely available in the last few years, mostly in Northern Tanzania, near Manyara and Karatu. At present there are a few camps, like Kirurumu, outside national parks that offer mountain biking as a safari activity for half or full day from camp.

Bird-Watching: Tanzania is a paradise for birdwatchers, with over 1,000 species to be observed in their varying habitats. Flamingos, pelicans and storks are in abundance on lakes. Birds of prey are also to be seen, including eagles - amongst them the Tawny and the African Fish Eagle.

Balloon Safaris: Balloon safaris over the Serengeti plains provide an exciting vantage point for viewing the wildlife. top

Camel Safaris: An amazing and unique way of exploring the bush and villages.

Caving: The Amboni Caves, north of Tanga, - ten caves with chambers up to 13 metres high. Others at Karatu on the road to Ngorongoro Crater.

Deep Sea Fishing: Zanzibar, Pemba and Mafia islands as well as Mnazi bay in Mikindani are places where you find the most record-breaking prizes in history. To be caught are kingfish, marlin, horse-mackerel and sailfish. Pemba channel is very famous for sea sports including deep sea fishing. top

Water Sports and Diving: The waters of the Indian Ocean provide superb opportunities for scuba divers. The coral reef can be explored by both beginners and experts. Other sports includes sailing, snorkeling, surf-boarding and water skiing.

Boat Safaris: There are a couple of places in Tanzania where boats are a major part of the experience - The Selous Game Reserve and Mahale Mountains. The Selous Game Reserve is probably the best place in Tanzania to see game by boat. Drifting down the Rufiji River from Stigler's gorge with the engine of your boat turned off can get you very close to game drinking at the waters edge. It also gives you an entirely different perspective on hippos and crocodiles.top
