Vuma Hill Tented Camp is set in the spacious hillside of Mikumi National Park overlooking the Mkata flood plains, the Uluguru Mountains, and Rubeho Mountains, which gives people a chance to explore some of this diversity. It is just 15 minute drive from the park entrance, before reaching there you will be entertained by wildlife en-route to the Camp.
The Foxes Safari Camp is raised up on wooden decks set around a rocky kopje overlooking the floodplain, and allows uninterrupted panoramic views across the sweeping plains of thunderous herds that converge to drink at the Mwanambogo waterhole in the best game viewing area in the park. With only eight custom designed tents, the Safari Camp is personalized and exclusive camping African style - the real "bush" experience without forgoing the creature comforts of en-suite bathroom and running hot and cold water. Camp fires and warm hospitality create a relaxing ambience against which to swap stories or simply listen to the hums and occasional screeches of the bush and to experience the thrill of being close to the multitudes of wild animals in timeless Africa .
Mbega Tented Camp : is situated in the North-Eastern part of Selous Game Reserve (just outside the Reserve) with view over the mighty Rufiji River.
The tents of Mbega Tented Camp are permanent private tents, the tents are walk-in with normal beds and en-suite toilet and hot shower. These are on stilted decks allowing even a better view further to the other side of the river, residents have a chance of watching game even when sitting on the bar and restaurant.
Ruaha River Lodge At Ruaha River Lodge you can enjoy game viewing from the veranda of your riverside stone and thatch banda. There are 20 rooms with either twin beds or a double bed.
Sand Rivers Selous has 8 double cottages all built from stone and thatch. The cottages are cool and shaded and raised on wooden platforms. The front of each cottage open and veranda style with wonderful views across the wide Rufiji River and its sand banks and Hippos. The cottages are en suite with flush toilets. Powerful showers with hot water available in the evenings.
The Mufindi Highland Fishing Lodge is set on a private 2000 acre estate adjacent to the rift valley escarpment and surrounded by rainforest, tea estates and lakes. Small and select with 9 log cabins (ensuite with hot baths) is very personalised and self sufficient with home grown and organically produced fruits & vegetables, dairy products, fresh and cured meats, and coffee beans. Hosted by Geoff & Vicky Fox who managed the adjacent tea plantations after arriving in 1959.
The Ruaha banda’s are situated in the Ruaha National Park and are government run by the Department of Wildlife. These are round tin wall and roofed huts with simple twin beds inside. These huts are basic but nevertheless more convenient than a tent. There is a kitchen, shower room, we have to use buckets of course, and there is a pit latrine.
